Spark for Publishers

Your readers have a next question. Answer it on your site.

Spark adds a conversational layer to the end of every article. It answers follow-up questions from your own archive, in your voice, and links readers to your next page instead of losing them to a general-purpose AI assistant.

What to know before buying a family SUV in 2026

Three-row SUVs now start under $40,000, hybrid options have doubled since 2023, and the safety gap between trims is wider than the sticker suggests. Here is what actually matters when you are shopping for a vehicle that has to do everything.

Start with how the third row gets used. If it is daily, legroom and access matter more than cargo volume. If it is occasional, a smaller footprint...

The problem

The follow-up question is leaving your site.

Readers finish and bounce

The article ends, the recommendation links point somewhere else, and the session is over. The page did its job and got one pageview for it.

The next question goes to a chatbot

The thing the reader wanted to know next is now being asked to a general-purpose AI assistant. Your reporting informed the answer. You got no session, no signal, and no loyalty.

Your archive sits idle

You have already written the answer to most follow-up questions. It is three years deep in the archive where no recommendation module will ever surface it.

What changes

The article can talk back.

Readers stay and go deeper

Three to four questions the reader is already thinking appear where the article ends. Tapping one opens an answer instead of a link away. The session continues on your page.

The assistant is yours

Answers come only from your archive, in the language of the article, with your tone. There is no generic model voice and nothing your newsroom did not publish.

Your archive works again

Every answer cites the articles it came from and links to them. Evergreen pieces get read, the next pageview is yours, and you see which questions your coverage cannot answer yet.

How it works

One tag. Four steps. All of them yours to approve.

01

Place one tag

Async script, Shadow DOM, no layout shift, themed to match your site.

<script async src="https://spark.adgentek.ai/spark.js" data-site="your-id"></script>

02

Spark reads the article

It generates three to four follow-up questions from what the piece actually says, in the article's language. Editorial can approve or edit them first.

03

Reader taps a chip or types

A chat opens on the page. Answers are retrieved from your indexed archive and grounded in your reporting.

04

Reader keeps going

Every answer links to the articles behind it. The reader's next click is another one of your pages, not someone else's.

Newsroom controls

Built for the newsroom, not bolted on.

Nothing goes in front of a reader that editorial has not allowed. Spark ships with the controls a masthead expects.

Editorial controls

Approve or edit generated questions before they go live
Voice and tone configuration per brand or section
Blocked topics and answer guardrails
Answers only from your archive, never the open web
Kill switch at the page, section, or site level

Reader experience

Renders where the article ends, sized to the column
Works in the language of the article, including Spanish-language properties
Loads async with no layout shift and no impact on Core Web Vitals
Consent-aware, no dependence on third-party cookies
Anything sponsored is labeled as sponsored

Editorial signal

See what readers actually want to know.

Every question asked is an editorial signal. The dashboard shows engagement by article and section, the questions readers asked that your archive could not answer, and the topics forming around your coverage. It is a story list written by your audience.

Revenue

And the conversation pays for itself.

Spark is not a cost line. The conversation is new inventory on top of every existing placement on the page, filled by the Adgentek Platform, on a publisher-majority revenue share. Nothing on the article page moves.

Contextual ads

Programmatic demand matched to the article and the question just asked.

Spark ad units

A brand answers reader questions inside a labeled card, without leaving your page. How the unit works

Sponsored questions

A brand sponsors one chip on relevant articles.

Affiliate commerce

Product links inside answers where relevant.

First-party capture

Email capture and intent segments you own.

Pilot

Run a 30-day pilot on one section.

One tag on one section, a holdout on the same articles, and an engagement report at the end you can take to your editor and your CFO. Editorial approves every question before it goes live.

What we measure. Time on site, pageviews per engaged session, and the share of readers who ask a question, all against control. Revenue is reported alongside, not instead.
What you configure. Sections, tone, blocked topics, question approval, allowed advertiser categories.
What it costs. Nothing up front. Publisher-majority revenue share on whatever the conversation earns.

FAQ

Questions publishers ask.

Does it send readers off my site?

No. Answers are grounded in your archive and cite your own articles. The conversation stays on the page and the next pageview is yours.

What content does the assistant use to answer?

Your archive, indexed for retrieval. It does not answer from the open web. Anything a brand says inside a Spark unit comes from that brand's own approved Q&A and is labeled as sponsored.

How do I control what it says?

Editorial approves or edits generated questions, sets tone per section, blocks topics, restricts advertiser categories, and has a kill switch at the page, section, or site level.

What languages does it support?

The language of the article. Spanish-language properties get Spanish questions and Spanish answers grounded in their own reporting.

Does Spark replace my existing ad placements?

No. Spark is a new surface below the article. Existing display, video, and native placements stay where they are. Revenue from the conversation is incremental.

How long does integration take?

One async JavaScript tag in the article template. Most publishers are live within a week.
